Police have appealed for public assistance after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted on Barrack Street in the Sydney CBD.
The boy was walking with friends at 3:45am Sunday when he got into an argument with a man.
The man approached the teen and punched him to the head, knocking him to the ground before he was struck with a glass bottle.
The man left with friends and was last seen walking along King Street.
Emergency services responded to the assault, with NSW Ambulance paramedics treating the teenager at the scene for head and facial injuries before transporting him to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
Police have released an image of the man they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as Caucasian, in his 20s, medium build with short black hair and a beard. He is shown wearing a grey hooded jumper, black jeans, and shoes, carrying a black jacket.
Anyone who may be able to identify the man or has information that may assist is urged to contact Sydney City Police Station on (02) 9265 6499 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
