Major Crash detectives are continuing with investigations into a fatal hit and run which occurred on the Victoria Highway this morning.
Police received reports around 4:30 am of a man being struck by a vehicle 30km West of Timber Creek, Northern Territory. The 19-year-old was declared dead at the scene by attending officers.
The offending vehicle and the identity of the driver remain unknown.
Detective Senior Sergeant Corey Borton said, ‘Major Crash are in the early stages of our investigation, and we would urge the driver of the vehicle to make themselves known to police.’
‘The exact circumstances around what happened remain unknown and any motorists who were travelling in the area in the early hours of this morning are urged to contact police on 131 444.’
