A 6-year-old boy is reported to be in a coma after he suffered a cardiac arrest whilst visiting an amusement park in San Giuliano Terme in Pisa, Italy with his family on Sunday.
Around 5pm the boy is said to have fallen unconscious by a poolside.
Staff from the park performed CPR on the boy and used the park’s defibrillator to save the child’s life prior to paramedics arriving at the scene.
The boy was rushed to the Cisanello Hospital by ambulance services, where he arrived in critical condition.
As a result of his worsening condition, the 6-year-old was intubated, and he was transferred to Meyer Paediatric Hospital in Florence.
While no further details have been made available as to the cause of the 6-year-olds cardiac arrest, reports indicate that the boy currently remains in a coma.
