At around 10pm on Thursday night, police were called to a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Temple Terrace.
Sadly a 63-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene. His identity has not been released.
The driver remained at the scene until Police arrived and the Major Crash Unit is currently investigating.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Corey Borton said, “The driver has done the right thing by stopping and remaining at the scene, where they tested negative for drugs and alcohol.
“These are tragic circumstances, and the Major Crash Unit are investigating.
“A report will be prepared for the coroner.”
