As Victorians today, we were gleefully delighted with the forgetfulness of our premier; it was our time to shine and have a giggle.
Watching his amnesia kick in as he forgot to wear a mask on two separate occasions resulted in social media going into overdrive with video after video and social commentary from all and sundry.
His arrogance towards those who refuse or cannot wear a mask, his social media post just a few months ago, and greeting his population with a snarky “good morning” except those who wore their masks inappropriately seems to have come back to bite him.
In his defence, he has offered to donate some of his taxpayer funded salary towards a charity of his choosing in which he did not elaborate which one, or how much if the police did not fine him. The police released a statement stating they would investigate.
There was no throwing him on the ground, choking or unlawful arrest towards him like we have seen towards the mere peasants. Oops, sorry citizens. They have now reached their decision to fine him the $400 without brutality.
But it has taken the limelight off everything else that is going on. (Except the masks on 8yr olds attending regional schools.)
At least he provided us all with more fodder towards his amnesia.
