PM Trudeau’s Emergency Act was never approved. It had to go through to the senate where it was clear that the vote would have gone against his approval. It would have also cast a no confidence vote against Trudeau and the Canadians would be holding an election.
The PM backed down as to not lose his position. All bank accounts will now be unfrozen. All police have moved on from Ottawa. The PM said he would try to have the Emergency Act voted on again if he thought it was necessary.
