Victoria has had all its restrictions eased. At what cost?
We have a vaccinated economy now. If you are aged over 12 and 2 months, and are unvaccinated, you cannot take part in any non-essential retail. No community sport, no movies, no buying of essential items such as clothing and shoes in a large retail store. This was first proposed to be the 29th of November. It has been forwarded to today.
If you are a parent who is not double vaccinated, you are not allowed on school grounds, attend any of your children’s awards, graduations, or sporting commitments. It was also only for those who were over 16 on the national plan. Now the government has done this very sneakily to undermine parents yet again by causing a divide amongst children.
There is also the matter of rapid antigen testing in all schools if they are a primary close contact. Plus, a PCR test. Masks have been removed from most areas of life. Abbitors and food manufacturing still must wear them as well as high-risk settings. Only children in grades 3-6 are still required to wear them.
The QR code check-in is still going ahead, and the contact tracing and exposure sites have been relegated to the places of exposure.
The DHHS has no control. Exposure sites are not going to be published online anymore either. The goalposts and changes in everything are very confusing.
The children are now locked out of society. No more meet ups at the local shops. No more socializing with each other as big brother has spoken.
