After what Dr Tess Lawrie (MBBCh, PhD) described as a phone call that left her shaken, she took to her A better Way to Health with Dr Tess Lawrie site to recount the experience.
The Doctor, world-class medical researcher, and director of The Evidence-Based Medicine Consultancy Ltd said she attended a phone conference with the World Health Organization and 48 others, after the WHO launched a ‘public participation process’ on 10 April 2022 inviting written and video submissions relating to its Pandemic Treaty.
After launching its process, the WHO set very short timeframes for responses, only granting 2 days for video submissions and 5 days for written submissions prior to the conference call.
Submitters like Lawrie and the World Council for Health Law and Activism Committee acted quickly with their responses.
During her presentation to the WHO Lawrie recalled those in attendance, “Sixteen of them were WHO staff. Others were from the UNAIDS, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), the UN Environment Programme, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).”
Not knowing whether her presentation would make a difference, she shared 16 recommendations calling for transparency, open debate, respect for our inalienable human rights and civil liberties, and the right to choose and refuse treatments and medical interventions, among other things. Lawrie openly rejected mass experimentation, social engineering and discrimination based on medical choice, stating that the WHO pandemic treaty is unnecessary and would not benefit people around the world.
Following the call, Lawrie warned on her sub stack page that “the WHO is proposing a global pandemic agreement that would give it undemocratic rights over every participation nation and its citizens. Put simply, in the event of a ‘pandemic’, the WHO’s constitution would replace every country’s constitution. Whether your country’s elected governments would agree or not, the WHO could impose lockdowns, testing regimes, enforce medical interventions, dictate all public health practices, and much more.”
Although admittedly shaken by the event she said the experience had left her more determined than ever, saying “We can’t let them get away with this power grab…Many of us are extremely concerned that the WHO now intends to take full control over every member nation via this pandemic treaty.”
