A drone has crashed into a field in the northern county of Bistrita-Nasaud, Romania. Prosecutors have launched an investigation into the circumstances of where the drone came from and it’s owner. At this time, nothing has been uncovered.
This is the 2nd incident of a drone crashing in a week. Croatia had a military type drone crash near a University causing damage to 40 cars. The drone had Ukranian markings and could have been from Russia also, as it was designed in the 1970s by Russia. Although Russia no longer used these styles of drones.
Authorities in Croatia have stated that the drone had ‘aeroplane bomb parts’ on board and there were traces of explosives found.
Croatian officials have criticized NATO for reacting slowly to the military drone flying over several member states for an hour, while NATO said it tracked the object with the alliance’s missile and defence system.
