New South Wales Detectives have charged a 24-year-old Dubbo woman with 15 counts of alleged relief grant fraud relating to COVID-19 relief payments.
Police received information relating to claims made to Service NSW for COVID-19 Business Relief Grants and for Test and Isolate payments, subsequently launching an investigation in March 2022
On Monday 9 May 2022 at around 1:15pm, detectives from Orana Mid-Western Police District executed a search warrant on a residence in Callistemon Crescent in Dubbo.
Police seized various documents and several identification documents during the search.
The 24-year-old woman was charged with 15 counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, stalk/harass/intimidate law officer, destroy or damage property and goods suspected stolen in/on premises.
The woman was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.
She was refused bail and was due to appear at Dubbo Local Court yesterday (10 May 2022)
