On December 22nd, 2021, 24-year-old Ahmed Amin from Egypt passed away suddenly after a training session.
His cause of death was a sudden heart attack.
After he went into cardiac arrest, the club’s medical team tried to revive him, and they took him to the hospital, but nothing could be done by the doctors.
A tweet shortly after his death by Sports Africa said, “After taking part in his team’s training yesterday, Amin went to the locker room where he suddenly passed out.”
According to Kingful, the Egyptian goalkeeper had no sign of heart failure prior to his training session.
A member of the club’s board, Islam Ezzat said, “Ahmed is one of the best goalkeepers I know. He sustained yesterday’s training in a natural way, like every day, and he also finished the training session quietly.”
During the week that Ahmed passed away, he was the fourth athlete to die from a cardiac arrest. The other three footballers were Croatian Marin Cacic age 23, Algerian Sofiane Lokar age 30, and Omani Mukhaled Al-Raqadi age 29.
At that time the list of young athletes suddenly collapsing or dying was steadily growing – The True Defender reported that the majority of these athletes had received their COVID 19 vaccine injections and experts were suspecting their collapses and deaths were linked to the injections. The majority of them had experienced heart problems after receiving their COVID vaccine.
