Police are appealing for witnesses after a 75-year-old lady was assaulted during a break-in in South Albury today.
At around 3:30am the woman was awoken by the sound of a window breaking. She was then confronted by a man who placed a pillow and doona over her head. When the woman got out of bed she was pushed to the floor.
A second man was heard in the home. The pair stole the woman’s car, a white Toyota Camry with the NSW registration of CTN-43P.
The woman was not seriously injured in the attack.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District were notified and have commenced an investigation.
