It just gets better each day. The name dropping, the factional choosing of who receives funding and the utter corruption in council’s and selected MPs. Not to mention the groups who are benefiting from funds.
To choose a select group to receive funds as it aligns with your own personal gain is not in the best interest of anybody. Buying a place in someone’s good books to get ahead is the height of egotism and unethical. But this is a political game they are playing.
The now former Mayor has consistently put his foot in his mouth and answers what he thinks he should. Trying to keep his members happy? Or is it more of keeping his seat on the council and in the good graces of the factional left? To improve his standing amongst the dishonourable? To keep ongoing with branch stacking and membership quotas being enlarged, it just seems that they never learn. Or never stop.
Forgetting the date of his child’s birth to buy himself some leeway to say, he cannot exactly recall all that went on. He broke down in tears after the consistent questioning which seem to trip him up many times.
It might be time for a board of integrity to be established that is not selected by any sitting parliamentarians. Even then, they can be swayed. We now must wait till November 1st for our next testimony, as the witness is medically unfit to answer questions. Maybe he is feeling the pinch after pocketing thousands of dollars in grant money that was not based on merit but on race and not distributed correctly. To use the race card is highly inappropriate considering that we have a Premier who says he is quite inclusive of all people.
We are all waiting for the name dropping to continue, and for 1 Adem Somyurek to have his say. That will be quite an entertaining day! His tweets are also great!
