A man has been taken into custody following a stabbing in Hurstville in Sydney’s South.
On 1 August 2022, at around 3:50 p.m. New South Wales Ambulance services attended a hotel on Forest Road in Hurstville following reports of a stabbing.
A 39-year-old man was found at the scene having suffered a stab wound to his back, with paramedics treating him on site.
Police have reported that the 39-year-old victim was taken to St George Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The alleged assailant was arrested at the hotel by officers from St George Police Area command, and he was taken to Kogarah Police station.
He remains in custody and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Police have indicated that the two men were unknown to each other, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
