The Channel 7 staff member who tested positive for Covid during the Boxing Day Test has been confirmed as Mel McLaughlin.
The entire Channel 7 on-air commentary team for the third Ashes Test was replaced because Mclaughlin tested positive for Covid.
Mel, 42, confirmed she was fully vaccinated and also had her booster shot so the news came as a ‘big shock’.
Due to Seven’s Covid protocols the entire commentary team of Mel, Ricky Ponting, Sir Ian Botham, Simon Katich, James Brayshaw, Alison Mitchell, Tim Lane, Greg Blewett, Matthew Hayden, Trent Copeland, Glenn McGrath, Damien Fleming and Peter Lalor.
Seven confirmed changes at the time but until today had not named Mel as the positive case. Mel has been in isolation since receiving the news on December 26th and despite having ‘a runny nose and chills for a few days is expected to make a full recovery. Despite Mclaughlin having daily testing and being fully vaccinated plus a booster shot, she still contracting Covid.
Questions are being asked as to why there is a continued push to vaccinate and ostracize those athletes who decline the shot. This would seem especially relevant in the light of ongoing news of athletes around the world suffering severe adverse reactions and death associated with the vaccines.
Notice how they never push taking vitamin D , if you’re obese lose weight to prevent Covid infection. No it’s just a push to jab the population with this poison jab
Mel would remain Free from this virus completely if she simply took the weekly propalactic route with something as simple as Ivermectin. Easy done . This Whole merry go round is dumb
