On Monday Elon Musk tweeted that he challenges Vladimir Putin to “single combat,” with the stakes being Ukraine.
Hours later on the same day Musk then retweeted to himself “do you agree to this fight?” tagging the Russian President in his response to himself.
Elon’s tweets contained words written in Cyrillic letters which are used in both the Russian and Ukrainian languages.
The head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos tweeted a response to Musk, writing – “You, little devil, are still young.”
Rogozin then added: “Compete with me weakling; it would only be a waste of time. Overtake my brother first.”
Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov came to Musk’s defence tweeting, “I am sure that @elonmusk can send Putin to Jupiter.”
He then went on to post a meme showing Putin travelling in a spaceship with the title “send Putin to Jupiter.” The meme links to a website where donors can contribute money towards Ukraine’s defence program.
Musk has previously agreed to provide Ukraine with Starlink internet at the request of the Ukrainian government. The Starlink wireless internet system is a backup in case the landline internet service is disrupted in Ukraine.
