The South Australian general public will have different requirements for testing and quarantining depending on their risk assessment and vaccination status. Being indoors without a mask with a confirmed case of Covid-19 might land you in isolation.
Vaccinated close contacts will still be required to quarantine for 7 days from exposure and will require 3 minimum tests. From day 8 to 14 they will be required to wear a mask around others at all times, advised to avoid non essential activities and will not be permitted to COVID management plan events. Unvaccinated people will still be required to quarantine a full 14 days and be required to have a COVID-19 test immediately and on days 6 and 13.
Children under 12 at this stage will be treated as vaccinated if both parents are fully vaccinated. We are still waiting on further details for what implications this will have for children exposed to a positive case who do not have two fully vaccinated parents and if their parents will also have to isolate 14 days after a school exposure.
See below for detailed plan.
