Investigations are underway by New South Wales Police following a shooting in Londonderry, in Sydney’s northwest overnight.
Around 9pm est on Tuesday (10 May 2022) Emergency services were called to a residence on Milford Road following reports that a man had been shot. Officers attached to the Nepean Police Area Command were also in attendance.
A 37-year-old man was found inside the home suffering gunshot wounds to both his legs. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to the hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police received information that a man wearing hi-vis clothing and a face covering entered the 37-year-olds home and discharged a firearm.
Officers, with the assistance of the Dog Squad and PolAir, conducted a search of the area after the alleged shooter fled the scene.
Despite the search, the armed man could not be located.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are ongoing. Information gathered by police indicates this was a targeted incident.
