Three on-duty officers have been injured in two separate incidents.
Whilst assisting Western Australia Police with the arrest of a 30-year-old male, a female officer was allegedly kicked in the stomach.
The offender was taken into custody and is expected to face additional charges of Assault.
The officer did not require further medical assistance.
In the second incident whilst responding to reports of an altercation, one officer received kicks to the head whilst another suffered a cut to the face from an object that was thrown at him.
The altercation involved a 28-year-old woman in breach of a Domestic Violence Order. During the arrest, the woman attempted to escape, became violent, and lashed out at officers. One officer required medical treatment to his face.
The woman has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
Superintendent Peter Dash said, “The assault of police officers attending to calls for assistance from the public is of concern”, this behaviour will not be tolerated, offenders will be brought before the courts.
