AFL star Ollie Wines, 27, had to leave the field on Thursday night in Port Adelaide’s game against Melbourne. Wines was suffering from heart palpations, nausea and dizziness.
Wines was taken to hospital on Thursday night where he remains as they investigate his heart irregularity.
A large number of sports stars across multiple sports codes have recently collapsed on fields or withdrew from games due to heart pain or palpitations. One of the most notable was Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal who suffered severe chest pain and breathing issues during the Indian Wells final in March.
