On Sunday about 3.30pm the suspected remains of Chong Kai Wong, aka Jacky were found at a rural property in Killongbutta, about 40km northwest of Bathurst in central west NSW after police had been forensically searching the property since last Tuesday.
The remains are yet to be formally identified. They will be subject to forensic examination and further analysis, including DNA testing.
Three men, aged 22, 28 and 33 were charged at the end of March in connection with Mr Wong’s death.
Mr Wong had been living in Sydney since 2016. It is believed that the 24-year-old was part of an organised criminal syndicate before he was killed violently. He was known for his involvement in the cultivation of cannabis across regional NSW at the time of his alleged murder.
All the three men that have been charged remain before the courts.
