The Raiders finally turned up to win. With their captain Jarrod Croker back after having stem-cell knee surgery, the Raiders looked ready to fire up. With the many tries that were overturned, it still ended up being the game they needed to win. The Raiders looked good at halftime with a score of 10-0 and all the ball possession.
The 2nd half also went the Raider’s way with a few setbacks. Fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad left the field during the 2nd half due to a corked leg. It didn’t slow them down though, as they had a 61% possession rate. The captain, Croker, also ended up leaving the field at the full-time siren with what is a suspected serious shoulder injury.
The Raiders ended their 5-game losing streak, but at what cost?
Bulldogs’ hooker Jeremy Marshall-King was placed on report for an alleged trip.
Full-time Raiders 14-4 Bulldogs.
