On Friday several foreign projectiles crashed to the ground in Russia’s southern region of Belgorod, causing damage to one house and a power line. Belgorod governor Vychesalv Gladkov said that the explosion of the impacts could be heard from the capital city.
Posting to telegram, Gladkov stated that they’re “dealing with the consequences [of the explosions]. The most important thing is that no one was hurt. I went to the site–near the villages of Nikolskoye and Yasnye Zori. Examined the sites of the explosions,” also sharing images of a large crater and debris scattered on the ground.

There has also been footage circulating the internet in both images and videos; which appear to show the remnants of missiles or even potentially drones. One video showed the moment a rocket impacted the ground near a roadside, causing damage to a power-line and throwing soil into air.

At this stage, it is not clear where the projectiles originated from and authorities are refraining from placing blame to avoid unnecessary tensions.
This came on the same day that a civilian oil depot on the outskirts of Belgorod was attacked by two attack helicopters, who launched numerous rockets at the facility from low altitude. The attack was initially attributed to Ukrainian forces by the Russian military.
Initially Kiev was unwilling to comment on the incident, however since has conceded that it was in fact them.
