Victorian is currently in the grips of a severe weather warning as winds of over 100km/h hammer the state, including Melbourne.
A wind gust of 143km/h was reported at Mt William at 3:41am. Winds are expected to last most of the day before easing in the evening.
There are up to 500,000 Victorian homes currently suffering from power outages with some customers not expected to get power back over the weekend. Emma Tyner from CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy has confirmed that many customers will not have power reconnected this weekend.
All across the state, reports of damage are pouring in, with many trees and power lines down and reports of roofs being ripped off buildings with the force of the winds.
Severe winds are currently impacting the CBD and will extend into central and western Victorian coasts during the morning, followed by the Gippsland coasts later today.
Several train lines have been interrupted with trees down across the tracks. Roads have been impacted, with many traffic lights out, as well as trees and debris across roads.
