A 75-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly detained and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy in a Sydney train station toilet.
At about 3pm on Saturday, the man detained and sexually assaulted the 15-year-old boy on the Country Concourse at Central Station.
He then left the scene by boarding a train to Mortdale Railway station, where he got off the train and left.
The teenager reported the incident to his mother, who then contacted the police.
On Sunday evening, the police conducted a search warrant at the man’s unit in Mortdale, in Sydney’s south, where clothing and devices were seized.
The 75-year-old was arrested and taken to Kogarah police station, where he was charged with aggravated sexual intercourse with a child between 14 and 16 years and intentionally sexually touching a child between 10 and 16 years.
He was refused bail and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on Monday.
