U.S. President Joe Biden has travelled to Poland this week and addressed the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division who are stationed there. During the speech he has told American soldiers that “you’re going to see” Ukrainian civilians fighting Russian soldiers “when you’re there.” Despite these seemingly ominous words the White House insists that Biden’s position is still the same, and he is refraining from sending troops into Ukraine.

“You’re going to see when you’re there … some of you have been there. You’re going to see women, young people standing in the middle, in the front of a damn tank saying, ‘I’m not leaving, I’m holding my ground’,” Biden stated.

At this stage the President has insisted that American troops will not intervene in Ukraine and has also ruled out a NATO enforced no-fly zone being established over Ukrainian skies. He believes that by installing a no-fly zone it could be deemed as an air war against Russia, which could ignite a “third world war.” It is also not clear what Biden meant when he told troops “Some of you have already been there.” These statements made by Biden have triggered concerns that the U.S. is preparing to invade Ukraine. The White House has responded by reiterating that “the president has been clear we are not sending US troops to Ukraine and there is no change in that position.”

This could however be the U.S. presidents second slip of the tongue within a week, earlier in the week he mentioned the beginning of a “New World Order” during a public address on Tuesday.

Now it could just be a simple slip of the tongue given his age and the stress and pressure he would be under currently. However, it could also be revealing something far more sinister. Known as a “Freudian slip”, an unintentional error regarded as revealing subconscious feelings. Or it could simply be that the President’s age has become factor, as there have been calls from representatives in U.S. government to force the 79-year-old president to undergo cognitive testing. Former White House physician and current Texas Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson has repeated claimed that he believes Joe Biden is “not fit to be our president right now.”
