Pulling out the unused picnic blankets, meeting like minded people, to show our view on locking out society from hospitality venues due to a medical status.

If you don’t have a double shot, you are not welcome inside dine-in restaurants, pubs or cafe’s. So, to the hard concrete we sat. At least we could still buy from places that were open and serving. Most people bought their own food in and were generous in sharing. There was a few “dissidents” of what we were doing. But you do get those who are quite ignorant of what segregation is and believe that we owe them a debt to society.

The police were quite placid today. They maintained traffic control by making sure nobody was on the tram tracks as trams passed through. There was a couple of officers who were just clowns. A couple of speakers stating what we were about. No to segregation.
After our picnic, we headed off to the park. We even had a friendly police escort. A few more words spoken, then we all dispersed to go on our merry way.

Great day, great atmosphere, no police brutality and a group of people united in not accepting a divided community.
As we left and trekked through the botanical gardens, we spotted some “crop” circles. Make what you want of them, as we had a good giggle amongst ourselves with our imagination.

Quite a few with signs and t-shirts stating the obvious, but a good day nonetheless. Thanks to all those who attended and made it wonderful.

What a great outcome!
Thank you for the unbias report. United very important fabric for a society to remain as such.
