Kristie Mihelich was not sure how her 2-year-old son Pierson would react when her wedding day finally arrived.

Mihelich, 40, and her now-husband Bobby were business partners who met and fell in love. After planning her dream wedding the pair were initially forced to delay the ceremony due to the pandemic but were finally married in West Bloomfield, Michigan on 22 April.

Mihelich told TODAY news, “God had a really quick plan for us, because we got pregnant,” adding, “We always planned for our son Pierson to be the ring bearer.”

On the day of the nuptials, Pierson waited at the altar with his father seemingly unsure of what was going on around him. As his mother, the beautiful bride appeared at the end of the aisle an expression of awe washed across Pierson’s face.

Unable to contain his excitement the 2-year-old can be seen in a TikTok video which has gone viral, yelling “Hey mom!” before running down the aisle with his arms outstretched, bringing cheers and laughter from the wedding guests.

Hugging his mother’s wedding gown ruffles, Mihelich shed a tear before taking her son’s hand and walking with him down the aisle alongside her brother Kirk.

Mihelich said that she would never have imagined her son would end up being the star of the event, telling TODAY “It was the sweetest thing on the entire planet. I literally could have gone home right then and been so happy with my wedding.”
