Three juvenile boys have been charged by Detectives from Joondalup’s Rapid High Harm Offender Response Team over a number of offences in several northern locations in Joondalup.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between 7 May and 8 May 2022.
Detectives allege the trio forced entry into a home and that a 14-year-old boy who was home at the time of the entry attempted to stop the offenders before being assaulted.
Western Australian Police have reported the following arrest details:
An 11-year-old boy has been charged with:
- Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery;
- 2 counts of aggravated home burglary;
- 6 counts of aggravated burglary;
- 7 counts of stealing; and
- Stealing a motor vehicle.
The 11-year-old appeared in the Perth Children’s Court on 9 May 2022 and is set to reappear on 24 May 2022.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with:
- Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery;
- 2 counts of aggravated home burglary;
- 6 counts of aggravated burglary;
- 7 counts of stealing; and
- 2 counts of stealing a motor vehicle.
The 15-year-old appeared in the Perth Children’s Court on 9 May 2022 and is set to reappear on 23 May 2022.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with:
- Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery;
- 2 counts of aggravated home burglary;
- 6 counts of aggravated burglary;
- 2 counts of aggravated burglary with intent;
- 6 counts of stealing;
- Stealing by opening locked room, box or other receptacle by means of key or other instrument; and
- 2 counts of stealing a motor vehicle.
The 15-year-old appeared in the Perth Children’s Court on 11 May 2022.
West Australian police are continuing with their investigations into other incidents reported in the area.
