Victoria’s Health Minister Martin Foley has announced today the changes to the vaccine mandates for workers will end. There will still be mandates in the following industries: healthcare, police and emergency services, education, food distribution, and construction.

The reasoning behind this is due to the fact that 2/3rds of the Victorian population have received their booster shot.

Also ending is the need to show proof of vaccination status at any venue, mask wearing at schools or indoor venues and hospital restrictions scrapped. Masks will be required in hospitals.

Home isolation rules have also changed. If you are deemed a close contact, you must now only wear a mask indoors and show 5 negative RAT’s in a 7-day period.

These changes will come into effect from Friday the 22nd of April.

We will keep you updated with more once all the information is released.
