Gold Coast Police are appealing for public assistance after a violent road rage incident occurred.
At approximately 10:30pm on Friday night (6th, May) a violent robbery and assault of a 36-year-old Varsity Lakes man took place after an road rage incident occurred between two cars and a electric bike.
During the assault the 36-year-old man was attacked with a metal pole and stabbed multiple times in the buttocks.
Members of the public rushed to the victims aid, when the occupants of the vehicles left the scene taking the victims belongings including his electric bike.
The 36-year-old man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Anyone in the vicinity of the area between 10pm and 11pm who may have residential CCTV or vehicle dashcam footage showing a green sedan and white sedan or a person riding an electric bicycle is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
